Inspiration for a Better World
Upon realizing his own success and ability to help others, Stanley Wasie started The Wasie Foundation in 1966 to provide a helping hand to those who were less fortunate than he was; yet motivated to succeed. Today, Stan’s initial effort has resulted in our ability to distribute millions of dollars in grants and scholarship funding over more than forty years.
Our Mission
Our mission is to honor the philanthropic intentions of our donors, Stanley and Marie Wasie.
Our board and staff are committed to preserving donor intent.
In addition to supporting scholarship programs for students of Polish ancestry at select colleges and universities in Minnesota, we make grants to non-profit charitable organizations providing programs and services in the following program areas, which were of interest to our founders:
- Schizophrenia
- Arthritis
- Cancer
- Children with life threatening, chronic, terminal, or severely disabling medical conditions
