Education: Scholarships for students of Polish ancestry
The Wasie Foundation has long been known for its commitment to the education of young men and women of Polish descent. The Wasie Foundation funds academic institutions for scholarship programs that help students pursue post-secondary and graduate education.
Since its establishment in 1966, hundreds of students have received scholarship assistance through programs established at selected educational institutions. Wasie Scholars, as they are called, have gone on to achieve in the ranks of nearly every profession and trade.
Steven P. Skabrat, a Wasie Scholar who received scholarship support for both his undergraduate and law school degrees, wrote of the programs impact on his life: "I believe I have fulfilled the dreams of men like my father, my grandfather and Mr. Wasie. I thank God for the talents He has given me and I give a heartfelt thanks to The Wasie Foundation for all that it does to further the educational goals of Polish-American students."
